Art Resumes List
Art Resumes Tips
An Art Resume is not like other Resumes. It is completely different to a resume used to apply for employment. Since an Art Resume will need to be updated frequently, it is advisable that you keep a soft copy saved in your computer to facilitate such updating. Like for all other types of resumes, the Art Resume too should be lucid and interesting.
An Art Resume should sell the Artist as a person and his works to collectors, galleries etc. It is therefore necessary that sufficient interest is created in the reader about the Artist which will make the reader want to know the Artist personally. Details about his work in terms of which galleries, museums and or collectors have patronized the Artist and his works play a critical role in the effectiveness of the Art Resume.
Some indication of the Artist’s motivation for his themes, style and other background information about his development and growth in his calling makes for an interesting and effective addition to the Art Resume. A historical perceptive of his development, his training under various schools and Masters add that much more interest in him as well as his works.
Most artists use two different versions of their Art Resumes. One, a short resume of a page in length and another giving more details and up to two or even three pages depending on the details provided.
