Auditor Resumes Tips
Auditors perform the function of evaluating ongoing systems, processes, procedures etc of organizations to report on the efficacy of whatever is happening to the Board of Directors, or the Top Management or to an appropriate authority like the Government etc. The process of evaluation is done either on a complete basis or a statistical sampling basis.
While traditionally, auditing has been confined to financial matters, increasingly, other aspects of management are also coming under the umbrella of auditing for evaluation and improvement. Thus we now have vibrant internal audit systems built into all kinds of organizations, besides auditing of the environment, public bodies etc.
As an auditor therefore, you can aspire to be part of an external auditor firm, or an internal auditing team. The former are Accounting firms which conduct financial audits of organizations and report to the share holders through the Board of Directors. Internal Auditors are part of the top management’s establishment to keep an eye on all activities going on in large organizations.
The Auditing profession is by and large handled by Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) or Certified Internal Auditors. Your Auditor Resume therefore should highlight your qualifications and certifications as well as affiliations besides your experience and significant achievements.
