Experience:
2002 to Present: Vice President, Internal Audit, ABC Industries, Boise ID. Joining the corporation as Internal Auditor, rose to the position of Vice President, to be in charge of the Internal Audit department consisting of ten Internal Auditors. The Corporation has lumber interests in many parts of the USA and the internal audit team has to ensure that uniform policies and procedures are followed and no siphoning takes place due to the remoteness of the location. Two major incidents of malfeasance identified and remedial measures taken to prevent recurrence, resulted in recovery of over US$5 millions from one unit.
1998 to 2001: Senior Internal Auditor, Boise Metals and Minerals Inc. Boise ID. From being the Accountant, took charge of a newly created Internal Audit department in 1999 and established it to be a decisive factor in improving all round improvements in financial discipline in the US$50 Million, manufacturer of specialty metals.
1994 to 1997: Accounts Manager, same company as above. Starting as Trainee Accountant, rose to the position of Accounts Manager of one division of the company before moving to set up the Internal Audit department of the corporation. During the period, set up thorough accounting systems and procedures in all the departments of the company which was struggling to cope with antiquated accounting systems using modern computerized equipment.
