Bank Treasurer Resumes Tips
The two main functions that a Bank Treasurer manages are, interest rate risk management and management of deployment of funds. The first is mainly a monitoring activity and action is taken only when interest rates of deployed funds change or are likely to change. The second is managing the deployment of large amounts of cash that float within the banking system as deposits and in transit. The latter is the more difficult of the two as, sufficient funds in liquid form is to be constantly available so that no customer is denied any cash when asked for, and at the same time, idle cash not earning any interest is deployed in short term interest earning functions. Balancing these two functions is the responsibility of the Bank Treasurer.
While good education is very important, Banks prefer to look for Treasurers who have handled many functions within the banking system and preferably some experience in the treasury function itself.
Your Bank Treasurer Resume should therefore address the important aspects of your experience when seeking employment as a Bank Treasurer.
