The generic term Biologist covers many types of biologists. There are as many specialties as there are life forms as biologists are specialists who have studied the lives of organisms in various environments. Biologists are now involved in applied research to develop or improve agricultural, industrial, and medical disciplines and processes.
Excellent employment opportunities are possible in industry, academia, and government. The field is so vast that you can choose a field of your interest and qualification. Depending on quite what kind of employment that you want, your resume should reflect that aspect of the Biologist’s function. For instance, if your interest is in Applied Research, you will need a PhD as a prerequisite whereas for other commercial applications, you can manage with just an MS in your specialty.
