Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Resumes Tips
Certified Public Accountants are people who either maintain or audit accounts of various organizations. Legal requirements, taxation, share holder and lender interests, and other statutory requirements are to be strictly adhered to by organizations and that responsibility squarely rests on the shoulders of Accountants, who are expected to know all the requirements. While organizations prefer Certified Public Accountants to be their Accountants, it is legally required whereas the Accountants who audit the accounts of the organization are expected to be.
Certified Public Accountants are certified to practice as Public Accountants by State Boards of Accountancies. These boards conduct examinations prior to certifying and only graduates with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree are usually eligible to take the examinations. Some states have now made the requirements more rigid by imposing the number of semesters that a person should have attended for the graduation too. There are also minimum requirements of subjects to have been studied so that the subjects of interest in the examination itself gets the attention they deserve.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Resume should therefore elaborate on the qualification acquired, information about the certificate/s obtained to practice as a CPA and experience in the field to persuade the recipient to seek a personal interview.
