A senior Finance Professional with varied experience in Corporate Finance, Securities Filing, Consultancy and training, shortly retiring from partnership in a Consultancy firm, seeks employment as Chief Financial Officer with a reputed and progressive organization as the partnership has served its purpose and is being liquidated.
Experience:
2004 to present: Managing Partner, Brown, Ashton and Sinclair, Financial consultants, Boston MA. The partnership was set up to provide training on Securities and Exchange Commission filing and reporting requirements for various companies in the Boston area struggling with the same. Successfully trained Financial Officers from over a hundred companies and with second generation partners ready to take over the firm, retiring to seek fresh challenges.
1999 to 2003: ABC Corporation, Boston MA. A major energy company with varied interests in cole mining, petroleum exploration and power distribution in parts of the Eastern USA, with revenues of US$ 2 Billion and over 2000 employees. Joining the company as Finance Manager for their Coal Mining Division, moved to two other divisions before being made responsible for the entire Corporate Finance function for the company in 2001. A significant achievement in the position was to make the firm completely debt free and to set up a pay as you go system besides setting up an effective Employees Stock Option System that continues to be in operation till date. Left to set up own consultancy.
1995 to 1998: Finance Manager, Springfield Systems Inc, Springfield, MA. Joining the firm when it was a start up on the challenge posed was part of the original team that saw the birth of the firm to its successful functioning. Was single handedly responsible for finding Venture Capital, Structuring Accounting and systems and procedures, recruiting, effective auditing and fulfilling statutory obligations. At the time of leaving for better prospects to work for a larger organization, the company was generating revenues of US $ 25 Million per annum and was in the process of being absorbed by a larger organization.
1992 to 1994: XYZ Builders, Springfield, MA. Joining them as a Management Trainee straight from Business school, became Deputy Finance Manager. At the time of leaving them, they were generating revenues of US $ 35 Million per annum with permanent employee strength of 250. Played a key role in restructuring their Finance function when two companies had merged to form one.
