Objective: To sercure employment as a Chief Operations Officer in a different industry from the present employment, to broaden vision and experience. Experience:
2004 to present: Chief Operations Officer, Magnum Forgers, Inc, Chicago IL. A specialty Forger, focused on the Automotive industry, with US $ 50 Million revenues per annum, employing 150 people, it is considered to be the leader in its niche. A constantly innovating industry with considerable research and development taking place in house and from vendors, constant change is the driving force in this industry, and the COO’s role in such a fluid environment cannot be over emphasized. Was responsible for the organization winning the Industry’s excellence award for two years running by very innovative and rapid changes to the processes within.
2002 and 2003: Chief Quality Controller, the same organization as above. Was responsible for putting in Six Sigma processes with great success resulting in improved productivity, reduced costs of opertations, and improved operating margins. Won the Employeed of the Year Award on both the years of responsibility and got promoted to COO.
1998 to 2001: Manager, Quality Assurance, New Haven Agro Chemicals, Inc, New Haven, MA. A US$ 15 Million manufacturer of pesticides and chemicals, considered to be a leader in the niches that it operates in. With three manufacturing units in different locations, headed the department consisting of three Quality Auditors and three laboratories with 15 technicians who were responsible for not only quality assurance work but also for product innovation. Through the efforts of the department, the company was able to launch six new products during the time of responsibility.
1990 to 1997: Manufacturing Manager, Omega Chemical Industries, New Haven MA, a US $10 Million manufacturer of Industrial Chemicals. Joining as Trainee Engineer, worked in the various departments of the company and eventually rose to the position of Manufacturing Manager in 1995.
