Often, close personal follow up through visits, phone calls, faxes and emails etc, collections are made, but where on due study, it is found that the party is likely to default, due process of law is to be applied to ensure that the employer’s interest is not lost by default. The Collections Officer is expected to exercise his judgment to recommend legal action in time so that losses can be avoided.
