A fifty year old Management Professional with twenty years of hands on Management experience and five years of very active Consultancy experience looks for and opportunity in the Human Resources area with a reputed Firm of Management Consultants. With an MBA from a reputed school and a wide network of contacts in business, banking and government, can bring immediate business to the firm that can exploit his capabilities.

Experience:

2004 to Present: Senior Consultant, (Human Resources), Bank of Greater Virginia, Richmond, Virginia. An initiative to provide Consultancy to clients of the bank struggling with Management problems, led this progressive Bank to set up a Consultancy Division, through which Clients were helped to tackle their problems. Was taken out of hands on Personnel Management of the Bank to head up the Human Resources Section of the new Division.

During this period of consultancy, has helped five corporate clients of the Bank in setting up completely new Human Resources Departments, building from their old Personnel Departments. In all the five places, proper recruiting, training, positioning, appraisal, reward/punishment mechanisms and planning for the future mechanisms have been put in place, resulting in much more efficiency and demonstrated cost savings.

1994 to 2004: Personnel Manager, Bank of Greater Virginia, Richmond, Virginia. Was taken on to improve the existing Personnel Department of the Bank, to make it more responsive to modern Management needs and to satisfy employee aspirations. Effectively put in place completely new systems, procedures, and policies to make the Human Resources Function of the Bank a show piece among banks. Was able to successfully reduce manpower from 250 to 175 and implemented a smooth change over from manual systems to a computerized environment more appropriate for current needs.

1989 to 1994: Asst. Manager, Human Resources, People’s Bank, Arlington, Virginia. Was in charge of all Personnel matters in this largest branch of the People’s Bank of Virginia.

1984 to 1989: Supervisor, Payrolls and Appraisals, Magnum Bank, Arlington, Virginia. Joining this localized bank, straight from college, in the Personnel Department, spent five years setting up their complete Personnel Department.
