Objective: To secure employment and subsequently build a career as Rehabilitation Counselor with a Rehabilitation Centre in the area De-addiction.
Preamble: Having successfully rehabilitated from addiction through Rehabilitation Programs would like to pass on the experience gained in the process as well as use the knowledge gained in subsequent academic qualification in Applied Psychology.
Experience:
2003 t0 2007:
Resident Counselor, Brandon Health Spa and Rehabilitation Centre, North Berwick ME. Having successfully rehabilitated self at the center was invited by the Management to counsel other addicts enrolling in the center. Having found a calling in counseling and being able to get addicts to identify themselves with me, was able to turn around many lives. Deciding to make counseling a career went back to college to acquire appropriate qualification and now seek employment as a full time Resident Counselor in a reputed Rehabilitation Center.
2008 and 2009:
Vacation Internships with three Rehabilitation Centers during academic pursuits.
Education:
M S Master of Science in Applied Psychology specializing in Addiction Problems, from University College, Augusta, University of Maine.
Computer Literacy
Fully familiar with Personal Computer operations and have specialized in Medical Record Keeping and Reporting programs.
