Credit Analyst Resumes Tips
A Credit Analyst analyses the financial strengths and weaknesses of firms. He may be doing this on behalf of a Financial Institution to consider either extending or renewing loans or to invest in that firm’s equity or bonds. Credit Analysts are also employed in large firms with high accounts receivables to minimize bad debts and to keep the investment in such receivables within reasonable limits.
Credit Analysts need to be high on analytical skills and with an instinct to ferret out hidden information. They need to be knowledgeable on all financial tools and research techniques.
Since information other than what is available from the balance sheets and other published sources, is to be obtained from individuals, excellent interviewing skills and the ability to follow up on leads are vital for success in this very demanding profession.
Academic qualifications in Finance are usually expected though people with exceptional experience can hope to secure employment without such qualifications.
