A forty year old Mechanical Engineer with substantial experience in the design and manufacture of Capital Machinery and education form one of America’s best Engineering Colleges, seeks to change focus to the use of Machinery in the manufacture of downstream products. Having worked all along with machines that would make products, would like the challenge of developing products using capital machinery and innovating. Work Experience:
2004 to Present: Manager Product Development, Manufacturers and Engineers Inc, Chicago, ILL. A $500 million manufacturer of machinery for the manufacture of specialty textiles employing 800 workers in three locations. Was responsible for the development of newer and better machinery by innovation. Responsible for visiting users of machinery sold, and finding out ways and means to improve the performance of the machines, designing improvements and producing prototypes. Prototypes subject to rigorous laboratory and field trials before bulk production is undertaken. Leading a team of six Mechanical Engineers, successfully developed seven completely new machines for one particular industry.
1999 to 2004: Production Engineer: NeoMech Industries Inc, Chicago, ILL. $200 million, manufacturers of Numerically Controlled Machines for the Textile Industry, considered to be the leader in its niche. Was responsible for design and prototype testing of all tools, jigs and fixtures on product development.
1994 to 1999: Assistant Production Engineer, MechTech Inc, Chicago, ILL, $200 million manufacturers of Numerically Controlled Machine Tools. Joining them as Trainee Engineer, got promoted to Assistant Production Engineer within eighteen months. Left them due to the closure of the unit due to bankruptcy.
