Manufacturing covers a vast field comprising of many aspects of engineering. Specialties like Production, Production Planning & Control, Work Study, Quality Control, Quality Management, Maintenance, Innovation, Worker Supervision, Labor Law, Union Negotiations and so on so forth. People can specialize in one field or the other and many move from one to many other fields and become generalists capable of assuming Management Roles. Others concentrate on one area and become Supervisors and/or Managers of those specialized areas.
Depending on the level at which you desire employment, either certification for shop floor specializations, or graduate/post graduate level qualifications will be expected. Entry level positions as Apprentices or Trainees are also possible.
Your resume should therefore reflect, what is it that you wish to apply for, what experience and/or qualifications that you can bring for that position and significant achievements hitherto.
