A Technical Resume, as its name suggests is heavily technology oriented and is addressed to people who understand and expect to see technical information.
A Technical Resume therefore is structured with great emphasis on your technical qualifications and experience with handling technology. Be it hardware or software, networking or web applications, programming or database management, or systems management, your expertise and hands on experience with any or some of them should be highlighted.
Details of Projects that you have worked on, platforms and languages that you are familiar with and have used etc, need to be given prominence in a Technical Resume.
Naturally, in employment, you will not be exclusively handling technology only. You will be expected to interact with people, handle budgets, prepare plans and presentations and many other non technical activities. Your formal and informal training in these areas, experience and significant achievements all need to be brought out succinctly and effectively in your Technical Resume.
